About the Artist

   Hello, I’m Echo and I live in North Midwest America. I grew up in the countryside and have been shuffled around a lot of places as a kid. My passion for art has always been present, but it became grounded through an old PS1 video game titled “Spyro the Dragon.” All my natural pulls and excitements fit right at home with dragons. To me, they are harbingers of magic, freedom, strength, grace and kindness, all which gave me great security and meaning when I was young. My artwork then became an outlet for the stormy childhood I had. I drew beasts that couldn’t be chained, fire-breathing heroes that never gave up, and wrote about worlds that remedied everything my heart ached for. The journey growing up wasn’t easy, and I lost touch with parts of myself in the wreckage, but on the other side I always found the power of art. In my recovery, I’ve been reconnecting to how I love and what I love. It has reminded me of my own power, and I hope my artwork, thought-spillings and projects I seek to finally complete, help you remember your power too.
